Subjects
-
Students work with a partner school to create bilingual phrase pages covering everyday topics like greetings, directions, and school life. They explore vocabulary, pronunciation, and practical communication through tools like Google Translate, and develop awareness of language diversity, usage, and function in real-life scenarios.
-
Students use collaborative platforms like Google Slides to co-create visual and linguistic content. They learn to search, edit, and insert media, use accessibility tools, and present ideas clearly in a digital format, building skills in online research, presentation, and multimedia communication.
-
Students co-develop a multilingual phrasebook with peers from another country, participating in live planning meetings and creative exchange. This fosters intercultural understanding, teamwork, and authentic language use in a shared, purposeful task.
Creative Outcome
The project will culminate in a collaborative creative challenge where students create useful phrase pages for a collaborative language dictionary. This dictionary will include greetings, directional phrases, and other essential expressions in various languages, serving as a practical guide for Miko and anyone learning new languages.
