AGES 11 - 14 • EXPLORATION AND ENGINEERING
Mission To Mars
Take on the challenge of a Mars mission. Students collaborate internationally to make decisions, manage resources and solve problems as they plan for life beyond Earth.
Key Learning Objectives
Resource Management
Students will learn to prioritize and allocate limited space by selecting personal and community items that will enhance life on Mars.
Collaboration
Students will engage in simulations requiring effective collaboration and communication with international partners.
Problem-solving
Simulation
Students will develop action plans to address opportunities and challenges encountered during the Mars mission.
Participation in a simulation that tests their ability to work together to create an Action Plan for an identified Opportunity and Challenge on Mars. This activity emphasizes the unpredictability and demands of a Mars mission.
Creative Outcome
The project will culminate in creating a final piece showcasing the students' collaborative journey. This could be a compilation of evidence, a creative new product, or any other format within the Mars Mission theme. The final presentations will allow students to reflect on their journey, highlight their teamwork, and share their unique contributions to the mission.
